Fix Wing Aircraft
The acquisition of the surface of the earth over larger areas using laserscanning (LiDAR = Light Detection and Ranging) is done using fix wing aircrafts. This method delivers, depending on flying height and the across track overlap, a point density between 3 to 10 points per square meter (0.3 to 1 point per square feet).
Helicopter
Our helicopter based system TopEye-MK-III is suitable for special applications with higher requirements in terms of point density and object structure. The system includes two laser scanner and a digital middle format camera.

The flights are conducted in cooperation with BLOM Germany GmbH.

Advantages of the helicopter based system are:
-
High point density, up to 100 points per square meter (10 points per square feet)
-
Flying altitude between 100 and 700 meter
-
Ability to follow precisely a certain structure, ideal for high mountainous areas and acquisition of pipelines and power lines
-
Combined dataset, laser and digital images
